The Schools white paper announced the creation of the Specialist Leaders of Education (SLE) role to help raise standards and improve the quality of school leadership through school to school support and peer to peer learning.

SLEs are outstanding middle and senior leaders who have the skills to support individuals or teams in similar positions in other schools.

They understand what outstanding leadership practice in their area of expertise looks like and are skilled in helping other leaders to achieve it in their own context.

If you’re interested in finding out more about the work of SLEs, either as a prospective SLE or as a school who might benefit from having an SLE deployed in your school, call Chris Bunting on 01274 494898 or email
