EARLY YEARS LEADERS AND MANAGERS
“Authentic leadership is recognized from the honest, trusting, meaningful and values-driven relationships developed with colleagues.” - Jillian Rodd, Leading Change in the Early Years, 2014
Our Early Years Leaders and Managers Community of Practice (CoP) is a structured, yet informal, network where individuals who lead and manage early childhood settings come together to share knowledge, reflect on practice, and improve outcomes for children. We meet once a half term, online or in person. By fostering collaborative environments, early years leaders and managers can build a culture of continuous improvement that benefits both educators and children. Our CoP is a space for
- Professional Learning: Leaders learn from each other’s experiences and expertise.
- Collaboration: Sharing strategies for management, pedagogy, staff development, and family engagement.
- Problem Solving: Discussing common challenges.
- Continuous Improvement: Using shared insights to raise the quality of practice across settings
Each session has some Knowledge Input, Discussion, Reflections and Actions. We sometimes have guest speakers or invite a member to share (before the session) a key issue to be explored. Keep an eye on socials and email for the focus of the next session.
